All nine P4P Niger Delta state chapters have begun their participatory conflict assessments which will directly inform their 2014 plans for conflict mitigation. During these workshops, participants analyze the existing quantitative data on patterns and trends in order to decide on a priority LGA for their intervention. After analyzing the social, economic, political, and security pressures on stability, identifying key local stakeholders, conflict narratives, and possible flashpoints, they plan a relevant, targeted, and effective activity to promote peace. The first workshop of the nine was conducted 11-12 March in Imo and facilitated by Austin Onuoha.
