P4P Chapters across the Niger Delta region are conducting conflict assessments to better understand the issues and plan targeted peacebuilding activities. On April 16-17 the group in Rivers met to review findings from the Peace Map and determine their next steps on the road to sustainable peace.

On March 17-18, the the group in Akwa Ibom met to review findings from the Peace Map, and determine their next steps on the road to sustainable peace.

On April 1-2, the the group in Abia met to review findings from the Peace Map, and determine their next steps on the road to sustainable peace.

On April 11, the the group in Cross River met to review findings from the Peace Map, and determine their next steps on the road to sustainable peace.

A workshop was held in April, 2013 for consulting local stakeholders from Delta and Edo states for a more effective and participatory P4P initiative. These consultative workshops are taking place across the Niger Delta, leading up to a Niger Delta-wide meeting to be held sometime in the next year. At this meeting participants discussed their experiences and perspectives on conflict risk factors and peacebuilding. They viewed the P4P short films.

On March 7-8, P4P held a consultative workshop in Owerri to learn more about conflict and peacebuilding in Imo. Participants also watched the P4P short films about local peacebuilding initiatives in the Niger Delta.
