The Partners for Peace Network in the Niger Delta (P4P website – https://p4p-nigerdelta.org/) is a peacebuilding and capacity-building organization aimed at building the capacity of peace actors in the Niger Delta Region to be able to intervene in conflicts. We do this by giving capacity-building training, and small grants to assist the P4P state chapters in the region for conflict interventions at the grassroots level. P4P currently has a network strength of more than 10,000 peace actors working in the region.
Partners for Peace Network is currently seeking qualified candidates for the following roles.
Job Title: 1 Program Assistant (Finance)
Location: Port Harcourt, Nigeria
The Program Assistant will support the P4P secretariat in collecting, collating, and organizing data and finance-related matters from the various state chapters and their intervention activities. To support the peacebuilding program and activities of the network, with monitoring and evaluation efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Collect data on conflict Incidents and analyze the data for patterns and trends
- Assist the P4P secretariat Finance officer in designing applications, proposals, and budgets for external donors
- Review and edit state proposals and budget for donors’ funding
- Verifies Peace building intervention projects/Activities with
- Support M&E collecting and monitory
- Monitor and facilitate state-level resource mobilization
- Conduct attitudinal surveys across the States quarterly.
- Writing, submitting, and managing grant
- Identify and support State-level capacity development
- Facilitate the Network strategic review and planning
- Assist in keeping the membership database in soft and hard
- Provide support in the preparation and verification of State chapter budgets
- Maintain strong and open communication lines with Network members and critical
- Other related duties assigned/
Educational Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field. A post-graduate degree will be an added advantage and other Finance-related certifications.
NYSC discharge certificate
Skills and Experience
- 3– 5 years of development experience
- Experienced user of MS Office tools e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experienced user of Google Drive and other Google products
- Skilled user of finance-related software,
- Understanding data collection and analysis is an added
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and
- Excellent organizational skills, documentation, filing, and financial management.
Job Title: 2 Program Intern
Location: Port Harcourt, Nigeria
The program Intern will assist the P4P secretariat to support the P4P Network in its programs and activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with making calls, emails, and other communications to network members of P4P and stakeholders
- Assist with quarterly feedback calls and reporting to P4P donors
- Support with posts on the P4P social media handles
- Provide support during CWC Meetings, Joint meetings, and other key quarterly meetings of the network.
- Assist with the documentation of P4P intervention activities across the
- Track updates from state program officers about activities in various states
- Support the P4P Programs staff and Facilitation team to design P4P activities and programs for the year.
- Supports the Economic Empowerment and Gender Base units of the Network.
- Assist with the documentation of P4P success
- Assist with creating and posting content on P4P official and state social media handles and website
- Assist with writing and disseminating P4P newsletters and conflict trackers to
- Maintain strong and open communication lines with Network members and critical
- Other related duties assigned and required
Educational Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in social science, Arts, science, or a related field. A post-graduate degree will be an added advantage.
